A game platform for Discord Web

Your Discord call, a table for any game.

CamTable sets the table on top of your call: seats, scores and turns on each camera, whispers, a lobby. Addons bring the games: add one by its link, or write your own. The official games come ready with the install.

  • Free to join
  • No separate app, just a Chrome extension
  • Your camera never reaches CamTable's servers

Where games come from

CamTable sets the table. Addons bring the games.

An addon is a website that offers games to CamTable, run by its author on their own site. CamTable gives every addon's game the same table: the seats, the tiles, whispers, the lobby and the join prompt.

  • CamTable Official Games

The Official Addon comes built in

So your shelf isn't empty on day one, CamTable ships its own addon ready to play: 15 games, from okey and batak to backgammon and camera games. You can play before you know what an addon is.

    The official games
  • kartmasasi.example/manifest.json

Any other addon, by its link

The addon's author gives you a link. Paste it into Eklentilerim (My addons), or open the install link they shared. Before it's added you see its permissions and who runs the rules.

    How to add an addon
  • @camtable/sdk

    Your own game

Write your game as a web page, publish it on your own site and share the link. Scores, turns, whispers and the lobby come ready in the SDK.

    For developers

The table every game gets

Games bring the rules. CamTable sets the table.

An addon doesn't build scores, turns, whispers or a join prompt itself; CamTable gives them to every game. Discord's mic, camera and screen-share buttons stay where they are.

CamTable's interface is in Turkish today, so the drawings show it in Turkish too.

  1. What the game writes: in Batak, the tricks you took and your bid.
  2. Your total, in big numerals.
  3. The turn band, on the tile of whoever's turn it is.

Scores and turns on the tiles

Everyone's score sits in big numerals in the corner of their camera. Whoever's turn it is gets a band along the bottom of their tile. Nobody keeps score on paper.

Whispers the table can't hear

A game can pull a few players into a private chat: you step out of the call, hear only each other and can write to each other. Only the game starts a whisper, and even the game can't hear it.

You say yes before you join

If a room's game comes from an addon you haven't approved, or asks for something new, CamTable asks first: which addon, what it can do, who runs the rules. Say no and you stay out.

Rules picked in the lobby

The game says which settings it offers, and the host picks them before the match: in Batak, the number of hands, partners and the turn length. Everyone sees the same settings, and the host starts the match once enough players are seated.

Full screen, cameras included

Press Tam ekran (Full screen) on the game's top bar and the call fills your screen, with the cameras, the game and the CamTable panel still there. Discord's own full screen hides the game, which is why this button exists.

Add to Chrome Chrome Web Store

Joining is free. Your friends add CamTable to Chrome and join too.

At the table in three steps.

  1. 1. Add it to Chrome

Get CamTable from the Chrome Web Store. Everyone who plays adds it, once.

  2. 2. Join a call, open CamTable

Join a voice or video call on Discord Web. The handle on the page's right edge opens CamTable.

  3. 3. Pick a game, set the table

Choose a game in Keşfet (Discover) and press Oyna (Play). Friends in the call press Katıl (Join) and take a seat.

Whoever opens the room needs a plan. During the beta we give plans out by invitation, with no payment. Everyone at the table plays free.

The full walkthrough

For developers

Write your game. Host it yourself.

On CamTable a game is a web page. The rules are one pure function; tile overlays, whispers and lobby settings come ready in @camtable/sdk.

pnpm create camtable-addon my-game
cd my-game && pnpm install
# prints your Inspector link
pnpm dev
Host mode
Static files only; Cloudflare hosts them free. The host's browser runs the rules.

One Worker serves your pages and your rules. Hidden hands stay hidden from the host too.
Inspector
Paste your addon's manifest address and play every seat of a match in your browser. A Discord sign-in is all it takes: no call, no Chrome extension.

Security

Your camera and your account stay yours.

CamTable publishes and hosts its Official Addon. Community addons run on their authors' own sites; CamTable doesn't host or review them.

So install addons only from people you trust. When a game asks for something, you're asked before you join.

Illustration: inside the discord.com page sits CamTable's layer, and inside that the game's sealed frame. The game's frame cannot reach your Discord account or the page.
  • Your camera and voice never come to us

The call stays on Discord. CamTable never sends your camera or microphone to its servers, and never records them. Camera overlays are processed on your own device.

  • Games run in a sealed box

Each game opens in its own locked frame. It can't reach your Discord page, your account or the extension's permissions.

  • No Discord token is kept

Signing in with Discord asks only for your basic identity. The tokens Discord hands over are thrown away, never stored.

Beta · by invitation

A Community plan for your Discord server.

We grant the plan to your server, along with one host role. Members with that role open rooms in the server's calls, and everyone at the table plays free. The server's room pool sets how many rooms can be open at once.

You add the CamTable bot to your server. When a member opens a room, CamTable asks Discord, through the bot, only which voice channel they're in and whether they hold the role. During the beta we grant Community plans by invitation, by hand, with no payment.

Common questions

All questions

Where do the games come from?

From addons. CamTable sets the table, and addons bring the games. CamTable's Official Addon comes with the install, with 15 games; you add any other addon by the link its author gives you, or write your own game.

Does CamTable cost anything?

Joining rooms is free, even as a guest. Opening a room takes a plan. During the beta we give plans out by invitation and take no payment.

Do my friends need the extension too?

Yes, everyone who plays adds CamTable to Chrome. Someone without it sees the call as usual, just not the game.

Which browsers and platforms does it work on?

Today it works in Chrome on a desktop, on Discord Web (discord.com). It doesn't work in Discord's desktop app or on phones. Other platforms will come later.

Where do my camera and voice go?

Discord carries the call's video and sound, as always. CamTable never sends them to its servers or records them. In a whisper, voice and video go straight between players; what you write passes through CamTable's server and is deleted when the room closes.

Do I have to sign in with Discord?

Not to join. To open a room you sign in with Discord; it asks only for your basic identity, and your Discord token is never stored.

Your friends are in the call. The table's ready.

Free to join. No separate app. Your camera never reaches CamTable's servers.
